Rounded Corners

For this tip I will use a small basic interface for an example.

1.) Open new document about 200 x 200, White foreground
and black background. Go to the channels tab, Make a new
channel (name it Body), Draw out a square with the rectangle
marquee tool and fill with white. With the marquee tools make some shapes for buttons and fill them in with black as you go.

2.) Go to Filter>Blur>Gaussian Blur, Keep blurring tell you
have a result like you see to the right  ( Smooth corners and
rounded nice),  I used a setting of 3.0 for my small interface,
bigger ones you should blur between 6.0 and 9.0, Just make
sure you don't set it so high you wash everything out.

3.) Ok now lets smooth it out! Go to Image>Adjust>Levels,
Pull the left black and right white faders towards the middle
until your blurred body is nice and smooth
.

4.) There you have it! Now just click on the RGB channel and
go back to the layers tab,  make a new layer and load your body
selection and fill with some color.
